I am so excited you're interested in documenting this sweet season of life with your family and are considering me to capture it! My style is all about photographing your family in beautiful light in a location that you love, loving on each other. My dream is you pepper your walls with the beautiful, timeless images we create from your session so you can be reminded daily of the love that surrounds you.
Some of my favorite times spent with family are holding family albums and telling stories that relate to them. I believe with my whole heart the importance of seeing photos of our loved ones printed and displayed on our walls. I've grown up with my camera in my hands and have photographed families for over 15 years. I'm forever inspired by the seasons and searching for beautiful light.

After photographing hundreds of portrait sessions over the years, I’ve found that we all work best when we find the right fit. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. I want to hear about who you are and what you love doing together. Tell me all about your favorite vacation or activity you love doing!
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your day, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. I generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place.
That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let me know and I would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!

On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about two hours from start to finish.
The SEssion

All images from our sessions are typically delivered within about two weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images if you choose to purchase them.
Your gallery will remain active for six weeks.

Digital files, prints, and products are purchased separately.
SESSION FEES
Toes in the sand and the color palette of a lakeside session is one of my personal favorites. I love the way the light plays off the water and the waves invite a sense of playfulness.

With the growth of online shops, shopping for your littles is more fun than ever! We recommend choosing color families (neutrals, blues, etc) over perfectly matching outfits. If you're looking for some inspiration or some of our favorite shops for kids, check out the link to our Pinterest boards below!
For the Littles
When picking outfits I recommend keeping in mind the word “complement” rather than “match.” For example, if Dad is wearing a blue and pink pastel plaid shirt, Mom may want to choose a long, soft blue dress. It can also be a great idea to choose “color-families,” such as pastels, neutrals or jewel tones.

The sooner the better! Our weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during wedding season and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel a little awkward at first in front of the camera. I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.
Once we get started and the nerves wear off and I coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed is fun! And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones. Keeping lighthearted about expectations with the kiddos will go a long way!
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
If you want to embrace a weather themed aesthetic let me know, otherwise if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, I'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within about 2 weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to view your images.
The gallery is also set up to allow you to download high resolution images if chosen or make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
